Argento X Olivia Burton

Hello beauts!

If you keep up to date with my Instagram you would know that last Sunday I visited the Argento store in the Manchester Trafford Centre. I thought I would share with you all my experience visiting Argento and the Olivia Burton range in their store.

Let's first talk a little bit about Argento and what it's all about! Firstly 'Argento' means silver in Italian. The main purpose for this online retailer as well as having 55 shops across the UK, is to make it that easier for individuals like ourselves to shop for jewelry. Selling popular branded jewelry and watches as well as their own all in one place. Such as Ania Haie, Lily and Rose and many more...
One of the popular branded watches and jewelry brand I want to talk about in particular with you guys is the Olivia burton brand!

Olivia Burton is a British accessories brand founded by two best friends Jemma and Lesa. They both met on their first day at London college and exchanged their love and passion for design, and since then this amazing empire arose. Their designs are inspired by the latest catwalk trends and vintage finds, carefully tweaking their designs to perfection and such intricate details.

When visiting the Argento store in Manchester Trafford Centre I was approached with delightful customer service as well a beautiful display of watches and jewelry. The lovely ladies who worked there were so informative and friendly. I had a look around the store and was spoilt for choice with all the brands available. Though what struck me most was the Olivia Burton range with one of the biggest range in Argento and displayed to such perfection.

This watch and bangle had to be my favourite out of the whole collection making a perfect combination and it really complimented my tiny wrist and just looked so snug.

The Olivia Burton latest collection named 'Time is precious' includes a variety of designs as well intricate details of rose gold, gold and silver. The collection had such lovely variety of pastel colours really giving you the feels of Spring and Summer. When looking at the faces of the new arrivals some featured such beautiful striking designs of watercolours, 3-D bee, 3-D daisy and florals. You could really tell that so much thought and details went into the arrangement of these watches. Giving off such bold, vivid and a well thought out collection which also has a gorgeous set of jewelry to compliment the watches.

I was also kindly gifted an Olivia Burton set which I absolutely adore, noted in my Insta story I proclaimed that the Olivia Burton collection was exclusive to Argento. However, my apologies it is just this particular watch 'Olivia Burton Argento exclusive abstract watch' that is exclusive to Argento. I was also gifted this lovely 'Olivia gold bow bracelet' that complimented the watch so nicely! It would be such a brilliant gift to give to a family member or friend or even better to treat yourself too! I most definitely recommend if you live in Manchester or plan to visit, to visit the Argento store and give the Olivia Burton collection a check too. So have a further peep below of the Abstract Watch with more of a close up of the details. If you have also visited Argento previously or a fan of the Olivia Burton brand let me know your thoughts below or on Instagram. Would love to hear about other people's experiences too!

Ramadan fashion Inspiration with Accessorize

Hey lovelies!

With Ramadan around the corner from us I thought I would put together two looks that you could style out during this blessed month. I had the honour to partner up with Accessorize, to show two ways on styling their lovely scarves and of course the accessories that would be suited best with it! Getting us girls accessorize ready for Ramadan! You can also get hold of the blog post on Accessorize website here where it has all the links to the products in the images below.

The first look I opted more for a casual day look, wrapping this beautiful glitter pleated scarf in pale pink as a half turban. I then matched the scarf with the Penelope frame bag, which I thought went effortlessly with the scarf and could make any outfit pop. Nothing is completed with some statement earrings and these long beaded tassel earrings make a statement alright! Perfect for a casual look but would also look amazing for the evening out for Iftar.

The second outfit I was leaning more towards an evening look, for when you plan to open your Iftar at a family gathering or restaurant. This time round styling the glitter pleated scarf in white, a little different and for a more elegant touch. Simply just pinning in the middle and flicking over the equalling sides of the scarf over each shoulder. The Eloisa Ditsy embroidered saddle bag just went perfectly with the scarf, and the embroidery details on the bag gave a hint of colour to the whole attire. Going for a subtle vibe with the jewellery I opted more for the gold charm necklace only. To remain that classic and graceful outlook, I felt the bag and scarf should do the talking in the accessories department.

I hope everyone has a blessed Ramadan, a time to reflect on oneself which brings us closer to God. Ramadan to me is a time for reflection but also a time to be closer to God and those that are important to me. I feel a sense of togetherness and community in Ramadan which is one of the best parts of this blessed month. In this day and age that can be lost as we're all always busy or on different schedules. Though in this month that's forgotten as we all break our fasts at the same time and we all wake up for suhoor at the same time. As a community we try to do everything and come together in this month, which can be incredibly beautiful. What would you say is your favourite part of Ramadan or what does it mean to you? I love asking this question because it makes me realize other aspects of Ramadan that may have not come to thought with myself. So it's nice looking at it from another persons perspective. Do let me know your thoughts and I wish you all the best this month dolls! I will be back with a few posts as I have so much planned, so I shall speak to you then!

April Fashion Essentials

Back with a good old fashion post! Before I go into my fashion favourites this months I just wanted say thank you so much for all the love and support on my previous blog post. It really did take a lot for me to put it out there as I like to keep my personal and family life to myself. But I also want to use my platform to help individuals out there who may be going through a similar situation. Even though I love sharing with you fashion related posts, I think it's good to note that there's more to me than fashion!

This month the weather has been somewhat quite confusing as it has it's warmer days and then the temperature can drop to freezing. So with Spring not making an appearance as much, I still thought I'd share with you all what I have been wearing quite frequently this April. For those that keep up with my sense of style I am definitely a causal wearer and can't say no to a good sweatshirt or hoodie. Which I still think is quite acceptable to wear right now with this yoyoing weather.

The first piece I am going to rave about as my favourite has to be this blush pink Champion sweatshirt. I think it's a perfect wear to throw on and super comfy. The colour of the sweater, is what's my favourite thing about the sweatshirt as it's that perfect spring/summer pink. Put it together with a pair of jeans and white trainers like above and you're good to go. You could even pair it with a skirt to give off a more girly vibe but still remaining within the comfort zone of  'I didn't make much effort but still look trendy af'.
The vintage mid blue Mom jeans from Topshop  is a must for this season. You can literally throw them on with any; shirt, sweatshirt, blouse or jumper. Making it a versatile piece to have in your denim collection and the right shade of blue for spring/summer.

The next favourite has to be these checked/tartan patterned trousers with a slight yellow entwined in it. I was kindly gifted these when I attended the Next store opening in the manchester Arndale, and I have loved them ever since! They bring character to the outfit and a great piece to layer with and for the most you can wear them with majority of colours. Above I have wore them with the Fila x Weekday hoodie which is another item I have constantly been drawn to this month. These trousers can be quite versatile as you can wear them casually or dress them up for an occasion. There is so much you can do with them and definitely a staple piece to have in your wardrobe.

Moving on to more accessories and another gifted item from Next this mustard yellow box bag  is just a piece I know I'll be constantly rinsing out. Such a beautiful colour which can add a pop of bold colour to your outfit. I always think it's a good idea to have a statement or bold colour bag in your collection, for the times you want a more simple look with your clothing, the bag can do all the talking. A bonus with this bag is it's no too small and it's not too big so you can fit your essentials in their and not have the struggle of 'where the hell am I going to put this now?!'. I would consider this cute bag for more of a smarter look or if I making more of an effort than usual. Although for the more casual days (which is most days for me!) I tend to chuck all my stuff in this cream/white tote bag form Monki. What's so cute about this bag is the little black robot design on it- bringing personality and fun to a look and big and comfy enough to throw what you need in it.

I always go for comfort when it comes to footwear- that's just how I've always been. But whether you're more of girly type girl I would still suggest grabbing yourself a pair of white trainers. They are always in trend and I really mean it they go with ANYTHING. My favourite right now are theses white Nike Air force 1- yes they are more slightly on the chunkier side but believe it or not the chunkier your trainer this season the more on trend you are. Pair them with a dress, skirt, trousers, jeans you name it and you'll look on point. But even a girl like me who can never part from her sneakers will now and then turn to some cute black block heeled boots. What can I say the inner girly girl will always make an appearance and want some spotlight.
Another trainer favourite of mine this month that I have been wearing a considerable amount is these Nike air max ultra 97's in grey. I have got to say these are incredibly comfortable and make any outfit stand out. They can come across quite manly like trainers but if dressed with the right things you can tone the manliness down a notch! I absolutely love them!

There is a few more items pictured on here but I didn't want to make this post extremely long to read so I have linked my other favourites below.  I really hope you enjoyed this post and if you have any favourites of your own for this month note them below or leave a comment on my Instagram. I would love to know and you never know they could become one of my faves!

A long time no read- catch up time

Looking at the last time I had posted anything on here was in February- and oh boi has a lot happened since then and I have a very good reason for not posting much content since.
I thought I'd get typing on here and just catch up with yourselves as I have missed creating blog content. I have always found my platform to be somewhat an escape where I could show another side to myself and get creative.

Though for this particular blog post I just want to be real with you's and just get out there that I am like everyone else and in no way is my life perfect. I to have my struggles, downhills and oh lord do I get tested immensely- but who doesn't right?

The reason for being quiet lately was my mum was diagnosed with breast cancer a month ago and from the day she found the lump in her breast, to her diagnosis and then her operation everything just happened in a whizz. Not much time to think. Not much time to absorb. Not much time for reality to hit home. It just happened. My mum is on her way to recovery now and even though she has a while to go- she's the most amazing and strong woman I know. I'm not just saying this because she's my mother but if I was to encounter half the things she has gone through I don't know where I would be. She's a soldier and no matter what life throws at her she gets up and she fights the battle with all her strength.

So just after my mother went through with Mastectomy, my dad was then admitted into hospital with Sepsis. I have never really shared this part of my life because it was something I was really struggling to deal with. My dad has been battling with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) for 20 years now but in the last 2 years my dad's health had deteriorated immensely to the point he's now paralysed from neck down.  So my dad being admitted into hospital for Sepsis was something that hit us really hard and was quite frightening.

Right now everything is still up in the air and both my parents are trying to recover but being the eldest it has really taken a toll on me and I have been under immense pressure. Emotionally and mentally I haven't had time to sit and think about it and to be quite frank I'd rather not. I have tried my best to keep on going to support my parents and siblings to my best ability. If I am completely and utterly honest with you it's been absolutely shit and f***ing hard. I've near enough had a mental break down, burnt out and just basically lost myself.

I have such an amazing support system around me with such incredible family and friends who have supported us throughout this whole saga- I couldn't thank them enough but all I could do is send my prayers to them. But a question they have asked me regularly is 'How have you stayed so strong through all of this? I don't know how you're doing it?'. And it makes me think you have too, I look at my parents and I think look how strong they are and they're still fighting how could I not? How could I not return this little favour for them and be there to support them. Wouldn't you?

I don't know everyones relationship between their parents but what I do know is life is so short. Just like that, a click of a finger things can flip and before you know it the time you have with your parents will be no time left. My point is if you're reading this and you're sat with your parents or family get the f**k off your phone or laptop and spend some time with your loved ones. Tell them that you love them, that you appreciate every little thing, sacrifice, struggle they have gone through just to bring you into this world and to make you into the person you are. (or maybe after you have read this post then get off your device).
My heart aches every single day I see my dad lying in that bed unable to move, to talk, to be in so much pain and yet we can't really do anything but just to make it as comfortable for him as possible. Every single day I see the pain in his eyes, the man that my dad was, completely taken away from him and only God knows his trial and the reason for his pain. But I have faith that it will all get better and with every hardship comes ease and strength.

What I have taken from my parents most importantly is whatever life hits you with you hit back even harder. You get back up, shake it off and fight twice as hard. To be grateful for the way life tests you and the lessons you learn from it. To be grateful if you have both parents that are still with you, healthy and you can tell them everyday how much you love and appreciate them.

To be grateful that you get another chance every time you get up in the morning to fight your fight and show life your bad ass.

To be grateful for health.

In the meantime I have still managed to get some stuff done for Instagram and had the chance to attend the lovely event hosted by Next for their new Arndale store opening. I am lagging behind on some content and I have some amazing stuff coming up so do bare with myself guys. I also can't thank you guys enough for all the love and support you continuously give me! Some of you are so sweet that you check up on me to see how everything is going. What's even more THANK YOU for all the prayers you have given to me and my family, may you all be rewarded in this life and after.

You are all not forgotten and I most certainly will be back with more regular content! Love you all!
